1. PHYSICAL INTIMACY. It might just be innocent touches or it might be during sex.
2. LONG CONVERSATIONS. Honest words can be more intimate than touch.
3. DRUNK. You're oversharing or simply maudlin.
4. FORCED INTIMACY. Magic. A truth serum, whatever - you didn't mean to bare your soul, but that is precisely what you're doing right now.
5. SLOW-DANCING. There is something inherently intimate about trusting someone else to lead you, and someone trust you to lead them.
6. OTHER. Intimacy can come in many forms. Pick your poison.
1. BED. Waking up after a wild night or just getting ready for bed?
2. OFFICE. Getting a leg up at work? Caught in a moment of indiscretion?
3. YARD. Someone's been communing with nature...
4. CAR. The warmth of a heater during snowfall... or the aircon during a melting summer.
5. BEACH. Oh look, there's a floating swimsuit... and there's its owner.
6. RIVER. God, can't even fish without hooking the wrong species.
7. BATHROOM. . . . Oh, hey, who needs a shower, right?
8. PARK. Sun and grass and lots of people to . . . watch . . . oh my.
9. OTHER. Because there are way, way too many more places than I can think of.
1. INJURY. You've been injured. Broken bones or bleeding out or maybe just a tiny little papercut. The choice is yours.
2. SICKNESS. You're sick and laid up in bed, at home or in a hospital. The severity is up to you.
3. FEAR/ANXIETY. Something is happening and you're scared beyond belief.
4. LOSS OF SENSES. Sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell, etc. You've lost some important sense or ability and now you're left to deal with it.
5. DESPAIR. Nothing is good or right anymore and you can't shake the depression. Maybe that friend of yours can help though.
6. MAKE UP. Fight or break up, it's time to make up.
7. RESCUED. You've just been held captive and/or tortured for however long and finally, someone has come to the rescue.
8. BAD ROMANCE. Fight, cheat on, abuse, whatever the case is, someone else can clearly see you need comfort from someone who isn't your terrible lover tonight.
9. LOSS. You've experienced a loss of some kind and need help getting through it.
1. SWEET DREAMS. It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.
2. STORMY WEATHER. The heavy rain, thunder, and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.
3. SLOW DANCE. It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.
4. SURPRISE ATTACK. Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.
5. MOVIE NIGHT. It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.
6. I LOVE YOU, MAN. It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.
7. JEEPERS CREEPERS. Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?
8. HURT AND COMFORT. Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped, or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.
9. SUNDAY MORNING. Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there's just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart's content.
10. MOMENT AFTER. You just had incredible, vigorous sex and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.
11. MENAGE A TROIS. Or four, or five. Get a group and cuddle away.
12. PLAYER'S CHOICE. Pick one or make up your own!
1. BREAK DOWN. Oh snap. Your car decided to break down out in the middle of nowhere. WHAT DO? Is that Leatherface? Will this be "Children of the Corn"?
2. HITCHHIKERS? Is this even a good idea? Threads may also have a third participant. Go wild.
3. WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST HIT? Dude, I hear deer mess up cars... Or I think that was a deer...
4. DON'T MAKE ME TURN THIS CAR AROUND. Alas. You're the parent or disgruntled friend who has had it up to here with all the fighting in the bakc. This thread may also have a third or even fourth participant, if you can wing it.
5. OMG, I WANT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS LANDMARK! No, no, and no. You tell that person that they're going to be driven around and they're going to like it.
6. THE GREAT ESCAPE. Either dinosaurs or the mothman is chasing you. Don't stop now.
7. MAKE OUT. For whatever reason, the person you're traveling ith in the car. You would love to make out with them and then some.

Date: 2016-12-02 02:25 am (UTC)He didn't count on Arthur not alerting Syeira to that fact or remembering their date at all. So here he is, naked as the day he was born, spread out on the bed with a space rose stem clenched in his teeth around a grin.
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 02:53 am (UTC)"Oh! Oh my-" She turns around immediately, a hand coming up over her eyes. It's not as if she's never seen him naked. But it had always been when Arthur was present. And the scene is too obviously romantic to be meant for her. It just triggers the normal response any person would have, really, walking into a display not meant for them.
"Eames! I am- so sorry!"
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 03:07 am (UTC)He gathers a blanket in his lap, and then laughs. "This is ridiculous. I am so sorry. I... made a date with Arthur."
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 03:17 am (UTC)"You did? Oh... He didn't tell me. Obviously..... Um, is it okay for me to turn around?" It's awkward apologizing to the door jamb.
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 03:22 am (UTC)His face drops in disappointment. "I suppose he's not coming."
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 03:56 am (UTC)"Yeah... I saw him earlier, he had his nose buried in that machine. He didn't mention..." She lifts a hand to gesture at Eames. You know, being naked on her bed. "A date."
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 04:15 am (UTC)He leans over and picks up a bottle of wine off the bedside table. "What do you say? I can put some clothes on, and we can drink ourselves silly. Or I can leave the clothes off, if you'd prefer? he teases, wiggling his brows once at her.
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 04:28 am (UTC)"Or there's a third option. I could go get him for you. There no need to settle."
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 04:39 am (UTC)His tone has a teasing lilt to it, but his eyes, downcast, are serious. He doesn't make a fool of himself for just anyone, and it stung that he didn't remember.
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 04:47 am (UTC)"I'm sorry. I know he didn't mean to forget. He wouldn't stand you up on purpose."
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 04:57 am (UTC)He gives her a smile to soften his speech. "How about it, then, hm? Spend a little time with me?"
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 05:15 am (UTC)"I'd love to." Really, it's the only answer to his question.
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 05:32 am (UTC)Standing up with the blanket wrapped around him, he bends down, picks up his boxers, and somehow manages to wangle them on under the blanket. He drops it then, wiggling into some jeans and then a soft, long-sleeved shirt.
"There should be a corkscrew by the wine bottle, if you want to open it."
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 05:48 am (UTC)Oops, she may have just watched Eames get dressed. Interestingly enough, there is something rather attractive about watching a well fit man put on clothes. Fabric, sliding over and contouring muscles and skin. Who knew?
She hopes she's not blushing too obviously, or that she never stopped from when she first walked in on him, as she reaches for the corkscrew. Opening the wine is a good task, it gets her eyes off him and let's her brain come back out of the gutter (The tiny bit that it ever strays in there, on the first place).

Date: 2016-12-02 06:02 am (UTC)"I suppose all three of us should have talked about this before attempting it. I hope you don't think terribly of me now."
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 06:12 am (UTC)"You went to a great deal of trouble to do something nice for someone you love. How could I ever think terribly of you from that?"
She's very matter-of-fact as she pours wine into both glasses. She's not from a world where wine is sipped and sniffed and barely tasted. She's from a world of long swallows that result in wiping mouths on sleeves. So the glasses get filled to decent levels.
no subject
Date: 2016-12-02 06:27 am (UTC)The pour has him grinning and nodding. "Now that's a pour I can get behind. Here, love, cheers," he says, raising his glass to her. He swallows with a cheerful hum, nodding toward her.
"So what... what made you send Arthur in my direction?"

From:ROAD TRIP
Date: 2016-12-02 03:05 am (UTC)They'd taken shifts with who was in control of the bike, mainly to make sure that the farthest distance could be reached before rest became necessary. This wasn't necessarily a pleasure cruising, as the main reason behind the sudden departure had been a request from Jill to look into a possible location of Chris... and naturally Claire was no-questions-asked-let's-move about it. Not that he could blame her. He was tagging along to provide what resources he could in this manhunt. And Hunnigan was particularly good at finding people who didn't want to be found.
"Looks like the last official sighting of Chris is heading north into Canada near Kintla Peak," Even as extensive as the reach of his resource network was, Chris was a master at losing anyone trying to follow him. Lots of time being paranoid had helped hone that skill. And as exhausting as it was chasing after someone who was determined not to be found, he wasn't going to have Claire face that nightmare alone. Somehow, facing one nightmare together was enough to solidify that protective streak in him. "Probably going to need a heavier jacket." he cracked a grin, though he knew even as much as Claire was handling this in stride, it wasn't right. He'd seen plenty of things that shouldn't happen to people, but this... he knew how close these siblings used to be.

Date: 2016-12-02 03:46 am (UTC)It's not that she's underdressed, she's wearing jeans and riding jacket. And it's not that this is a fun jaunt for either of them. But she makes a joke of a past near death experience, because this is a stressful trip. Hunting her brother is painful, because it's not that he doesn't want the bad guys to find him, it's that he doesn't want anyone finding him. It hurts and she needs reasons to smile, to laugh.
Leon being with her helps. He knows her as well as anyone could. Probably more. He says what she needs to hear, when she needs to hear it. He does what needs doing. Which includes keeping her head on straight when she starts to get hyperfocused.
Sometimes, she looks at him and realizes that he's stepped into the space Chris used to occupy in her life. He's the closest person to her; she depends on him. He answers when she calls at stupid hours of the night.
The pump thunks, signaling that the tank is full. She takes the Boswell out, closes the gas tank, punches 'no' on the automated display asking if she wants a receipt.
"You want your turn driving now?"
no subject
Date: 2016-12-03 06:16 pm (UTC)Or maybe that had been an invitation? He'd keep it light hearted, she was under enough stress as it was, and this wasn't the time or place. In transit, the best thing to do was stay focused on the goal. Especially when it was the open highway ahead.
He made some last few swipes along his phone, requesting a drop off of some more appropriate weather clothing. It'd be a quick, covert stop. Mountains weren't nice, and if they did find Chris, he might need some help. It all depended on what condition he was when they found him. But to count his blessings, at least it wasn't the Antarctic."I'd be honored," he catches the keys as she tosses them his way, swinging one leg over the driver's seat and adjusting the mirrors.
"Besides, the scenery is nice, I mean... we could stop off in a national park, maybe find the largest ball of twine in the US, I also think there's a lot of alien conspiracy theorists who make a really mean bowl if chili in these parts."
He wasn't going to lie to himself, the chit-chat was him trying to cover up the fact he was a bit excited about driving-- and also that his passenger would be hugging him the whole way. In terms of a road trip, that was one of the better perks of this one.

Date: 2016-12-03 06:47 pm (UTC)"Sounds like an adventure," she chuckles as she tosses the empty water bottle in the trash. This is what she meant by Leon knowing the kind of things to say. It's hard to be anxious and stressed about her wayward brother when Leon was being witty.
Now that didn't mean she couldn't be a little anxious about the fact that she was sliding in behind him on the motorcycle. There's definite tension as she snugs up against his back, but it's the kind that makes her a little warm in her belly.
Her hands slip around his waist, perhaps only a little slower than the should. Gliding under his jacket and palms smoothing over his stomach. His shirt is soft, and tempts her to curl her fingers in it. But that's not a secure hold, so she finds his belt to grip onto.
He's taller than she is, so she has to press her cheek against his shoulder. If she wanted to see the road, she'd have to push up. It was doable, but no point in it until it was necessary. She'll be fine like this, body pressed against his in one long line.
Well, for a given degree of fine. At least, if she ends up holding him too tight, or nuzzling her cheek against his jacket, she'll have the perfect excuse.
"Ready when you are."

Date: 2016-12-03 08:02 pm (UTC)It sure had changed from their first meeting, that's for sure.
"Safety first," some old habits didn't die, apparently, even hard. Police training had him depositing her helmet on before he put on his own. Pulling out of the station, he merged onto the highway again, the light of civilization rapidly receding. The ride was uneventful, the stars winking from beyond the sky.
Despite the circumstances that brought them here, Leon was grateful to have this kind of closeness with Claire. He'd go so far as to say intimate, as he doubted Claire revealed this side of herself with anyone-- Chris was actively avoiding being around to give her the space to he a younger sister anymore. Coming from a family where he was the only child, it was nice to be included... and to be abandoned, well.
It didn't sit well with him. Reaching behind him, he knocked gently on her helmet and turned his head slightly. "When was the last time you went camping on purpose?"
no subject
Date: 2016-12-03 08:55 pm (UTC)It was quiet, or as quiet as it could get, with the wind rushing by them and the roar of the engine. She was just drifting, not thinking, as they drove. Leon an ever present comfort that she held tightly to.
The knock made her head perk up, and she had to strain to hear him clearly. But gosh what a question. "Back when I was living on base with Chris. He was doing this training camp out thing with his squad, and they took me along. I think I was like, 14, 15?"
Harry Dresden and - ?
Date: 2016-12-06 10:30 pm (UTC)He felt a thrill of it, an intimacy he had not known in a very long time.
This was good.
He kissed her again, letting himself just sink into touching her, in no hurry, yet.
no subject
Date: 2016-12-07 11:44 pm (UTC)She liked Harry. He was funny and smart, and just the right kind of odd to be truly surprising and endearing at the same time. He took her dancing. He cuddled with her. She didn't even mind the extreme lack of electric utilities at his place. Honestly, she found the candles romantic. She couldn't claim Harry Dresden had snuck up on her. No she'd seen him coming a mile away.
The slow kisses were almost soothing, if it weren't for the low heat building behind them. Kissing had always been her favorite kind of touch. Indulging in it was a bit if a guilty pleasure.
"Been awhile since Ah did this," she says between kisses.
